Fleet and Equipment Associate

SUMMARY: As a Fleet and Equipment Support Associate, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and logistical support of all vehicles, machinery, and equipment used by the organization. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that all equipment is operational, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards. You will also be involved in inventory management, procurement of parts and supplies, and documenting maintenance and repair activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
•Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles, machinery, and equipment according to schedules.
•Conduct inspections to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
•Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective parts as necessary.
•Ensure all repairs are conducted safely and efficiently to minimize downtime.

Logistical Support:
•Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and equipment as needed.
•Monitor fuel consumption and maintain fueling records.
•Track maintenance schedules and ensure timely servicing of vehicles and equipment.
•Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies and procure replacements as required.
Compliance and Documentation:
•Ensure all vehicles and equipment meet regulatory requirements and safety standards.
•Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
•Prepare reports on equipment status, maintenance logs, and expenses.
•Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workshop environment.

Training and Support:
•Provide training to staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
•Offer technical support and guidance to operators and other personnel.
•Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs.

Work Experience Requirements:
1. Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
2. Proven experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably in fleet management or equipment maintenance.
3. Solid understanding of mechanical systems and proficiency in diagnostic tools and techniques.
4. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
5. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8.Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
9. Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking abilities.
10. Keen attention to detail.
11. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive or equipment maintenance is a plus.
